The first edition set the compass that Aqwam Qeela follows every year: that the Holy Qur’an is the origin by which issues are read, in whose light questions are built, and through which the paths of impact are guided.
The second edition of Aqwam Qeela comes as a natural extension of the question of guidance and reference. It turns to the field in which a person is shaped from their very beginnings: education.
The question in this edition does not stop at curricula, classrooms, or grades. It goes beyond that to a deeper meaning: Does education merely transmit knowledge, or does it build the human being? Does it accumulate information, or does it create awareness? Does it connect knowledge with purpose and action, or isolate it from people and life?
From here came the second edition under the theme "Education: From Formation to Empowerment" — to rethink the roles of the teacher, the learner, the family, the environment, and the curriculum as integrated pillars in building the human being, rooting their identity, and enabling them to carry their responsibility in life.
Takween City is the interactive space of the second edition of Aqwam Qeela. It embodies the idea of “Education: From Formation to Empowerment” through applied models, initiatives, and experiences that place the visitor before the impact of education on building the human being. The city is organised into five interconnected formations: the formation of the teacher, the learner, the environment, the curriculum, and the family — so the visitor discovers how these pillars come together to shape the educational experience.
