Dr. Buthaina Abdullah Al Abdulghani, Chairperson of Hadara Foundation, has been honoured with the “Shield of Perfection” at the inaugural Rawda Award for Excellence in Social Work, held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir.
The recognition was awarded for her initiative, “Sponsorship and Empowerment of Value Initiatives with Community Impact,” which reflects a sustained commitment to advancing programs that strengthen community cohesion, promote shared values, and support individuals in contributing meaningfully to society.
Organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, the Rawda Award marks a significant national step in recognizing excellence in institutional social work — highlighting initiatives that contribute to community development and reinforce the role of values-based approaches in building a cohesive and resilient society.
Commenting on the recognition, Dr. Buthaina expressed her deep gratitude, noting that the award carries both appreciation and responsibility. She emphasized that this honour reflects not only a personal milestone, but also the culmination of sustained efforts and an integrated institutional vision at Hadara Foundation. She added that when community and educational work are grounded in sound knowledge and authentic values, they leave a meaningful and lasting impact in shaping individuals and society.
She further described the award as an important milestone that builds on a series of recognitions the Foundation takes pride in — highlighting, among others, the GCC Award for Voluntary and Social Work — and noted that it serves as renewed motivation to continue developing initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of society and contribute to sustainable development.
This recognition reflects Hadara Foundation’s ongoing commitment to shaping meaningful impact, where knowledge, values, and purposeful action come together in service of society.
